Delete your Mobility Mapper account
You can delete your Mobility Mapper account at any time. You do not need anyone's permission and you do not have to give a reason.
Deleting your account is permanent. Your journeys, barrier reports, photos and privacy zones cannot be recovered afterwards, so please be sure before you confirm.
Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app
This is the quickest way, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open the Mobility Mapper app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when asked. Your account and data are then deleted.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it for you
Use this if you have already uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would simply rather we did it. Either:
- email us at support@mobilitymapper.co.uk from the email address your account is registered to; or
- use our contact form and choose Account deletion request as the reason.
We may need to check that the request really comes from you before we delete anything. We will respond within the time required by data protection law, which is normally within one month.
What we delete
Deleting your account deletes or anonymises:
- your account details, including your name, email address and password;
- your recorded journeys and their GPS traces;
- your barrier reports and any photos you attached to them;
- your privacy zones;
- your mobility device information;
- your push notification token, so we can no longer send notifications to your device.
What we may keep, and why
We may need to retain a limited amount of information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, safety, research governance, or legitimate operational reasons. We may also keep information in anonymised or aggregated form, where it can no longer identify you.
